Great race on a 'great!' course - thanks for all the hills. There could be a better transport infrastructure locally though, public transport doesn't start until 9 a.m. this could mean less people wanting to run as they can't get there. The same goes for support along the route, more public transport could mean more people coming along to watch making the Great West Run even more popular.

Only issue was with the road closures, there seemed to be a little confusion early in the morning as to which junctions the people were closing, l was not alone as two other vehicles had the same problem, ( trying to get to the cathedral car park ) apart from that lovely event, thank you.

This was my first time running The Great West Run and I have to admit I hadn't really trained! However, I can genuinely say I really enjoyed it! It was fairly hilly though (something I have noticed about Exeter before!) and it was quite undulating but I really did like it! It was all on road but the scenery was amazing, one minute you are in the city centre next minute running down tree lined streets with wooded areas either size! The public were fantastic and those lining the street brought sweets out and I even saw one lady bring out a tray of cakes and lots of people playing music for us, Destiny's Child was a popular one! Plenty of water provided along the way and just over half way round we were being handed Lucozade sport which was just what I needed at that point! I will definitely be looking to do this run again next year, the medal was amazing too!

It all went smoothly for me, and I was able to just enjoy running with lots of company. The route was clear, drinks stations were well coordinated and the left luggage was well managed.

A great event and very well organised for my first half marathon.
Plenty of water stations but I would have preferred an energy gel instead of the bottle of lucozade. There was an awful lot of waste as most people were only taking a few sips before throwing the bottle away.

Smashing event. Everything was well organised and all seemed to go without any hitches. Volunteers were all helpful and friendly. My only slight grumble was the lack of info about car parks close by, but this may be because I didn't read the online info well enough. Overall a great day - I'll definitely consider again next year.

The start is too narrow. By moving the start to down by John Lewis or back up around the roundabout at the beginning of Blackboy road you can double the size and keep spectators back further down. It would only take one faller and there could be a trampling as it currently stands. Apart from this the event was a great success with Exeter turning out in force to support the runners.

This was my first half marathon event since taking up running six months previously. I wanted an aim during my training and so decided to book the run. From arriving in the camp, to crossing the finishing line the event was very well organised, and I couldn't fault it. There were plenty of water/energy stations on the route for when ever you needed some. The crowds were fantastic egging people on and showing their encouragement! Looking back on it there was no, "one person" leading the event but it just seemed to work perfectly!
I am really impressed with the medal, goody bag and the entire morning. I now think I am hooked on running and have already pre-registered for the next one in 2017! Thank you very much for a great event.

Brilliantly organised and wonderful support. Beware that it's a tough course, remember to leave plenty in the tank for the second half of the course, especially the last 3 miles.
