We have been members of the Bookkeepers Alliance for nearly two years, if you pay for this you get access to the closed facebook group which has been really useful. There is a lot of experience across a wide section of industry, and you can always find somebody that can help. We try to help others when we can too.
We've not used the Tax helpline since it's changed so I can't comment on this service. We've also never attended any of the regional meetings as the nearest on is over an hour away.
The resources area is really good, if you own your business, with opportunities to partner with business', reviews of software are also good (and available on the the facebook page too). Webinars are informative and as not everyone can sit down at the same time to watch a webinar, they can be viewed at a later date if you enroll.

Although I have not yet applied for a practice licence and I am still completing my studies, I have gained invaluable insight from being a member of The Bookkeepers Alliance and I have learnt so much from my fellow members. The Facebook group is invaluable to me and I have gained so much insight from it. The conference is also a must for any Bookkeeper and I would highly recommend membership of the Alliance to any Bookkeeper, you won't regret it.
