I needed to do a major reorganization of my music library. Much of it came from my ripped CD's so much of the metadata was a mess. I really liked the "spread sheet" style of editing. It was a bit scary when I started renaming files but Jaikoz did a superb job. Subsequent library discovery by Plex and Pypeline went without a hitch. Best tagger I've ever used.

A simple to use program to fix the metadata in song files. I also purchased the JAIKOZ program which allows for more options, but is has a bigger learning curve. I use SongKong in most cases. Very well done program. The author of both programs works on MusicBrainz, so he is always up to date on trends. He also responds to questions very quickly.

Jaikoz works well for small collections where you can check the corrections in small batches. For larger collections it is too difficult to check changes and correct issues with it. In addition, and not sure if this is a Jaikoz issue or the services it uses to match the songs, but EP's and some artists who are from the U.S. doing short albums in Europe, have issues finding them.
Overall, it is the best tagger I have found and tried.

On The Filenaming tab you can set the rename mask to use for songs matched to Compilations in the Compilation Rename mask field, and note you can edit and add create new masks. But if you please run Help:Create Support Files to upload your logs and reports then I can help you more accurately.

The combination of SongKong and Jaikoz is absolutely killer. I'm OCD about metadata, and running SongKong first make mass improvements to over 100,000 tracks. Jaikoz provides the finer control to tune it up. The good news is that the first pass with SongKong makes a messy collection much more usable, and then it's fun (for me) to fine-tune artist by artist.

This is really great piece of software! The developer makes regular updates so it keeps getting better as well. I’ve owned it for a while now actually through several OS updates and it’s never let me down I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Even though i’m an Apple Music subscriber now there’s still albums I need to add to iTunes so I tag them up with this, it works flawlessly every time saving me so much time and effort not having to manually rename everything. You just drag and drop the songs in, hit autocorrect and it’s done!

This is a MUST HAVE application for your audio library. I had converted many old 45,LP,CASSETTE, etc. that obviously had no tag information. This application not only allows you to provide your own tag information, but more importantly, can obtain the details from great archival databases!
I had tried several other programs and methods to do just SOME of the updating, but this is by far the BEST and all inclusive editor! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

What I like about this application as compared to others that I have tried is that you can control the tagging and view the changes before setting them in place. I think a critical item is the support that comes with this product should you have a question or discover a bug, etc.
