Hi, as far as I have seen up to now, this programm is very helpfull to fix missing information, even organizing wrong information fields inside the metadata of each music album. Nevertheless in few cases, it was not possible to change wrong adressed data. But do to the fact, that a lot of albumes can be checked at once and automatically, without any supervising, marks this tagging software to a very util tool.
To remark some things, the layout is not so user friendly, as well the validation process after the buying process is a little bit awkward.

So far, so good. Stable app. Love the fact that it doesn't lock up like Pickard. Takes a long time (days) to save 13k plus changes, but no problem as long as it doesnt freeze. File and folder auto naming has not been great, but I believe tweeking of settings will help.

Have to repeat the process several times to clean up files and even the. Delete some folders manually to eliminate duplicates especially if you have the same album in different resolutions.

Hi Mark, it is true that if matching alot of songs that sometimes you may get some more matches on a second run of FixSongs, this is due to a second run being able to take advantage of contextual information added in the first run (especially if you have Songkong configured to rename folders and files), and due to any network issues causing a lookup to timeout. Since FixSongs is fully automated it is simple to rerun, and it will skip over already matched songs.
Songs are not dupiicated as part of Fix Songs you must run the separate Delete Duplicates task, there are different types of 'duplicates' , did you try out the different options ?

Despite a few UI glitches, the tool is really helpfull. I know it can do much more than the way I use it but for now, I would highly recommend it for those who just want a clean music library.

Jaikoz works great!. It allowed me to correctly tag my music collection that was in terrible shape.

Purchased it two days ago and still can not use it as the license keys have not been sent. I purchased Jaikoz a few months back and had no issues. I wanted to try the slimmer program but am spending my weekend on other projects since the trial version can only show you what it can do instead of doing it. I'm sure I will love the program once I can use it. Really wish I had the license keys this weekend. I was going to rate as a "1" but could not do that based on my experience with Jaikoz. Rating a 3 based solely on delivery.
Almost immediately after this review was sent, I received the license keys and a note stating that they were also sent upon purchase and were not sure why I did not receive them. Changing my review to 4 stars. I would go 5, but based on the delay in license and that a sent an email that was not responded to yesterday about the same. Thank you for sending the license keys!!

This software works exactly as described. I have a music library of around 22k songs so it took a long time to fix songs, around 6 days, however it worked and fixed my library perfectly. Also helped delete my duplicates, which for some reason I had a lot!

Roger, it shoudn't usually be anywhere near that slow. I assume you were fixing your songs over a network and the songs were in WAV format, this does slow things down because of the high volume of data that has to be transferred over the network and rewritten. But Im glad your patience was rewarded with great results.

Great tool to get the library organized.
I highly recommend the Pro version as it is not only faster but also adds additional useful metadat like "mood". Combination with MinimServer is unbeatable.
Would give 5+ stars if:
- Calculation error of finished songs gets fixed
- Identification of multi-disc vinyl rips would be identified accurately (e.g. Songkong matches 4 disc vinyl rips to 2 disc CD releases of a later date although the original folder structure already indicates a 4 "disc" release)
- Initialization of iTunes database would have a progress indicator

Hi Claas,
I dont know without more details but it may that MusicBrainz/Discogs only has the CD release, and therefore if track listing and versions are same it is better to use this then nothing at all. Finished song count should be fixed in next release and I will look to see if I can determine more accuratekly it will take to scan iTunes library when you have iTunes option enabled.

Jaikoz is just what I needed for editing metadata for my CD collection and much more. It has a lot of useful features but you have to be willing to read the directions to find them all and use them correctly. Once you've done that the program is very logical, powerful, and easy to use.

Works reliable, does a great job most of the time. Why only four stars? The GUI looks quite outdated, the discogs query by discogs ID or barcode fails without useful error message or any help. Why can't Jaikoz simply evaluate a discogs URL? Do i need to enter the discogs release code including the brackets and including the leading "r" character? Maybe just one detail, but i'm using the discogs feature quite often, so i encounter this particular problem quite often...

Jaikoz is arguably the most powerful tag editor for Mac, and a very strong performer in Windows . I kept myself from giving the full 5 stars because the UI is a little idiosyncratic, and response can feel sluggish at times. The spreadsheet interface is both convenient for it lets you see and edit everything at a glance, and weird because... Java.
