Hi, the metadata is added to the files and by default files are not renamed or moved. But you can easily move matched files to a mover folder by setting one on the File Naming tab

I had been using MusicBrainz and decided to try to speed things up with Jaikoz but I discovered that the learning curve is pretty steep and the benefits would not be that much better than continuing with MusicBrainz. I'm very particular about matching tags and artwork to my physical CDs so I don't trust automated approaches and realized I need manual oversight no matter what. I probably didn't give it a fair trial, but I just don't see that Jaikoz is worth the money, and learning curve time investment. I used dbPoweramp to rip CDs so my tags were at a good starting point and it worked well to clean things up with MusicBrainz. I'm not thrilled with MusicBrainz either but it's free and I can't complain too much. I'm really surprised audio file metadata tagging isn't much easier by this point.

After having tried many different solutions for tagging my MP3 files, this is for me the best one and worth paying for. I only mis a functionality to search for and automatically add lyrics, you can add this manually though but have to look for them yourself. I was concerned becuse the site itself has no security certificate, protocol is http and not https, the payment system is.

Great programme to find album covers, and there’s a lot of fun in it.
There is still some things that could be improved.
The normal situation will be people checking a collection of recordings, not just a single album.
This requires that you go through the alphabetical list of album titles.
When you do that in Jaikoz, the listing always jumps back to the first album in the collection and not to the one you’ve just worked on. That could be much better.
I use and like discogs quite a lot. It’s a bit annoying that you often find the all the information if you check in discogs manually, whereas Jaikoz doesn’t find anything. Apart from that a great little program.

Functionally SongKong seems as solid as a rock. The UI certainly isn't modern .. but it gets the job done. Overall it's extremely useful and does an excellent job of cleaning up your music files. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to keep their digital music library well organised.

Hi, it sounds like yo have downloaded the windows version rather than the mac version, the mac version does work on intel macs but also on m1 macs using rosetta, perhaps send a screenshot on the forum so we can resolve this.

HI, the issue with remastered albums was due to your configuration, as detailed at https://community.jthink.net/t/remastered-album-treatment/9775/4

After many years of using numerous audio tag editors I'm making Jaikoz my primary editor. For me it strikes the right balance between manual editing and automated editing. Having an interface that allows quick access to see and group the files by genre, artist, or track allows me to make edits to exactly what I want edited. Having many automated features from sources I trust (MusicBrainz/Discogs) allows me to easily and accurately apply changes I want.

Fast but does NOT correct all information. A lot of the GENRE was incorrect as it came from your sources. Names of songs, artist were always correct. Even though there were album names listed for some of the songs that were already correct by me, your sources provided different titles for COPIES of those same songs that came from the CDs that I have. What was interesting was the VARIETY of album covers for the original songs that were copies of the CDs that I have. Yes, it was still worth the cost as I could not accomplish all that it did. It does need improvement. Yes, I understand that the DATABASES it uses were the SOURCES of the INCORRECT INFORMATION. You software does NOT cause those problems, the different DATABASES have a lot of erroneous information, not you.

Genres are very subjective and because of this Jaikoz doesnt modify genres by default, album names should not vary but if all your songs were in one single folder that could happen, be great if yo could send more details on the forum.

I have to say that I have found this challenging at my age and limited computer experience. If I had answered the first review request I know that I would now be regretting my words. A month into this I feel more confident and although I cannot give five stars I think the product has the potential to do what I want. Time will tell.
