Ordered on a Saturday for delivery next working day ie Monday. However what was not clear was that Saturday is not a working day (not normal for retail!), So on Monday had to fork out lot of money for same day delivery. They said if I ordered Friday, Monday would be next working day. Not happy at all.

Hi Geoff. sorry to hear there was confusion over Saturday not being a standard working day. With a standard working week being Monday to Friday we use the following wording on our collection "FREE Standard Shipping when spending £75 or more on our own BoroughBox Collection. Next Working Day Delivery available for orders placed before 12pm on the preceding working day, with Same Working Day Delivery currently available in Central London Zone 1." If we receive the order by 12pm on the Friday (the preceding working day) it is delivered next working day (Monday). Orders placed on a weekend are processed on Monday for delivery on Tuesday, unless you want to pay the extra for same working day delivery. You can certainly argue that Saturday and Sunday are both working days for some areas of retail but then we wouldn't need to specify a working day at all. We can only offer what our couriers are able to offer. Sorry again if this wasn't clear.

Thanks for the review. The two gins you mention should be two different gins from Jensens (Bermondsey Dry and Old Tom) - they do look very similar though. If you definitely did get two the same then let us know which one you got repeated and we'll get a replacement sent out for you.

The seller was Boroughbox and quite probably through my own error I sent the present to myself instead of the recipient. BoroughBox picked up the problem with the highest degree of professionalism and good will. The person I spoke to at B.B. provided me with all the necessary paperwork to forward the parcel on to the intended recipient at a very moderate cost of £6. The parcel was delivered to my sister the day after I received it. It was a large hamper and would have been difficult and expensive for me to have organised delivery of it in time for her birthday. My sister was delighted with the hamper. I am super impressed with B.B. and would not hesitate for one second to use this company again or to recommend it to someone else.
